Eagle Island Waterfront Landscape Lighting Project

Rather than simply adding fixtures, our goal was to reveal the property’s natural beauty while preserving the tranquility of the oceanfront setting. Towering coastal firs are softly illuminated from below, drawing the eye upward into the impressive canopy while maintaining a warm, natural appearance. The rugged stone walls, cliff faces, and winding staircases are highlighted with subtle layers of light that provide both beauty and safe navigation after dark. Every fixture was carefully positioned to ensure the effect is seen—not the light source itself. From nearly every viewpoint, the property feels elegant rather than overlit.

One of the greatest features of this Eagle Island home is its panoramic ocean outlook. Rather than competing with the view, the lighting was intentionally designed to complement it. Warm 2700K lighting gently frames the landscape while allowing the moonlight, stars, and reflections across the water to remain the focal point. The result is a property that feels inviting, luxurious, and connected to its natural surroundings. Whether viewed from the upper terraces, inside the home, or from the shoreline below, every angle tells a different story.

One of our favourite additions to this project was the installation of warm white fairy lights woven throughout the oceanfront gazebo. The lights disappear during the day but create a magical atmosphere after sunset, transforming the gazebo into an intimate gathering space overlooking Howe Sound. Combined with the surrounding landscape lighting, the space has become one of the homeowners’ favourite places to relax and entertain.

This project perfectly illustrates how many of our relationships begin. The homeowners initially planned for only nine fixtures to illuminate key areas of the landscape. After seeing the finished result, they wanted to continue expanding the system to reveal more of the property. Today, the installation has grown to over twenty professionally integrated fixtures, with each addition carefully matching the original design vision.
